Addison Trail High School

Opened on September 1, 1966, Addison Trail High School was established as the third high school in District 88. Located in Addison, a western suburb of Chicago, the school serves the communities of Addison as well as the nearby unincorporated areas of Lombard and Wood Dale. With approximately 2,026 students enrolled yearly in grades 9-12, the school's growth since its opening has been extraordinary.

To accommodate this rapid growth, Addison Trail underwent a significant expansion in 1976. Further renovations began in 2008 and were completed in 2010, which included adding a new three-story classroom wing, a student commons area, and a field house. In 2010, the Village of Addison acquired the former Driscoll High School and transformed the site into Blazer Park, now serving as the school’s athletic fields.

Today, the school has 120 classrooms and a range of specialized facilities, including an auto tech classroom, a woodshop, a photography classroom, a driver education room, a credit recovery room, a behavioral resource center, and a fitness gym. In 2024, Candor Electric was proudly selected to contribute to Addison Trail’s latest expansion, which includes a new culinary classroom complete with a full kitchen and cafeteria area.
